Mitz Bakes

Mitz Bakes is a hobby baker based in Chigwell, who specialises in egg free, gluten free, vegan and farali cakes.

After making numerous cakes and desserts for family and friends for many years she decided to turn her hobby into a professional business. Her main requirements were for me to create a nice logo that is classy, quirky and represents her. It also needs to include the strap line ‘with love’. She did not want a corporate looking logo but needed it to appeal to big corporate companies. The logo will be used on her social media pages, business cards and stickers.

I went for a modern vintage feel when creating this logo, as I felt this would give it a classy look. The heart shape was used, as it is the universal symbol of love. It also highlights the main message that she wanted to share with her customers, which is that every bake is made ’with love’. My aim was to create a future-proof logo that would work well across multiple platforms.

From my market research, I found that many of Mitz Bakes’ competitors did not have a very strong brand presence, and I knew that this was one of the main areas to focus on when creating her brand presence, in order for her to stand out from her competitors.
