Raise To Shine Childcare

Raise to Shine Childcare is a nursery based in Solihull that provides childcare services for children from birth up until 5 years. Their main target market is working parents who needed childcare services while they are at work.

The brief was to create a unique logo for their nursery that helps them stand out from their competitors. They also wanted an icon created, that could be used in areas where the logo needs to be very small. The only guidelines I had was to use either pastel or primary colours but to not use dark colours.

I created this simple and memorable logo using pastel colours. The shining star works as an analogy representing children that come to their nursery flourishing. From my research I found that many of their competitors did not have a strong brand presence because they had a lot of different elements in their logos that made it hard to remember. Also I found that most of their competitors used primary colours.

The logo was used on their shop signage, business cards, letterheads, nursery uniform and merchandise.
